In the virtual GMAA library you will find texts and documents on the maritime dispute settlement.

Library Service

The GMAA offers its members the possibility to research legal questions in well-stocked specialised libraries free of charge. If, as an arbitrator, you lack convenient access to specialist literature, you are welcome to visit the libraries of some law firms to pursue questions on arbitration law and maritime law. Through the GMAA secretariat, you will be granted free access to the respective library, which you can use free of charge. You will not be able to borrow books, but you may make a limited number of copies and take them with you or, alternatively, ask for a specific section of a work to be scanned and sent to you by e-mail. To avoid irritation, you should choose the library of a law firm that is not involved in the specific arbitration you are working on. The specialist libraries of the following law firms are at your disposal upon prior appointment with the GMAA secretariat:
- Ahlers & Vogel, Hamburg
- Blaum Dettmers Rabstein, Bremen
- CMS Hasche Sigle, Hamburg
- Arnecke Sibeth Dabelstein, Hamburg
- Fleet Hamburg LLP, Hamburg
- Dr. Schackow and Partner, Bremen
